My name is Dominika Płońska.
I am a journalist, photographer and TV director working as a freelancer. My hometown in Warsaw, Poland.
As a TV director I cooperate with Polish television TVN, recently working as a director and scriptwriter for a travel documentary show.
I published my press work in several major Polish magazines: Wysokie Obcasy, Twój Styl, Sukces and Bluszcz.
The real passion though is photography because it makes one stay focus and open towards human stories, being ready to explore new lands and worlds.
Photography made one come closer to the story and the storyteller. Made one take some time to look carefully .
One year which I spent in Beirut/Lebanon made me realise how differently we live our life, how different dreams we have and how different stories we have to tell. And this is simply fascinating and attracting. Infinitely. So whenever I travel I keep my eyes and ears wide open. Capture what I find using my lens and words.
You can browse some of my work on www.dominikaplonska.com
Also You can find there my multimedia solo exhibition "Beirut stories". Other photo reportage works were published in several media: international nowpublic.com and Polish television TVN: photo reportage covering demonstration in Palestinian camp Bourj el Barajne in Beirut, against Ghaza war- January 2009. Photo reportage covering Moroccan wedding was published in Polish magazine Sukces.
