I was born in Formia in 1978. After graduating in Communication at the University 'La Sapienza' in Rome in 2005, I specialized in Journalism and I started to work as an editor and publicist. In 2009, I thoroughly studied photography earning a Master in Photojournalism at the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication (ISFCI) of Rome. In collaboration with Amnesty International I made my first photographic project on the former Roma camp Casilino 900, in Rome. With this work I was among the selected photographers admitted to participate at the UNICEF Photo of the Year contest. For a long time I lived in Jerusalem and in Cairo, working as a freelance photographer. I have published in national newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Repubblica, Panorama, L’Espresso, Internazionale) and international, such as Le Figaro, The Telegraph, Wall Street Journal, Die Zeit. From 2011 to 2013 i was staff photographer for Emblema photoagency. I'm currently based in Rome, Italy.
