Raqqa, Syria

November 25, 2014

At least 95 people were killed and 120 injured on Tuesday in a series of airstrikes believed to be carried out by Syrian government forces against civilian neighborhoods in Raqqa, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The airstrikes caused large scale devastation in residential buildings and public squares. A mosque and the local museum were also damaged in the bombing.

Raqqa is the self-proclaimed capital of the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS.

An international coalition led by the United States has launched a bombing campaign against ISIS positions since September.

Eyewitnesses, however, believe that these airstrikes were carried out by the Syrian government’s air force.

The Syrian regime has repeatedly targeted the city with airstrikes since it lost control over it in March 2013

00:00 to 00:13 : First of all, we are sending a message to Japan, the enemies of Allah, the Japanese, about what they did, which is to give 200-million dollars to the coalition to attack the Muslims, to attack the Khalifa.
00:14 to 00:37:  The Khalifa, like our brother said, is not a group. Now it is a country. All Muslims are happy with this country. Every time you attack us, you attack Muslims. You entered a war that you already lost: the war against Allah. Our previous enemies did the same and they lost.

00:45 to 00:55 The Islamic State applies the Sharia (Islamic Law) because the prophet also asked for ransoms for the prisoners.
1:06 to 1:17 We want to say that all American, Japanese, English, French journalists, if they are “moushrek” (worshipping more than one god) they are our enemies.
1:17 to 1:22 Islam is the opposite of moushrek (worshipping more than one god) and Islam is the enemy of “shrik” (worshippers of more than one god).

By TTM Contributor 20
22 Jan 2015

Abou Moaath (British ISIS Fighter)

Brother why did you come to the Islamic State?
Brother as why did you come to Jihad, no why did you come to Dawlah[the State]. Jihad is our duty bestowed by God and His Prophet Muhamad (Peace be Upon Him), commands us to fight in the way of God to establish His law on earth.

Praise be to God, and by His Grace we have established the Khilafa. And Menhaj el-Nobwwa[the Path of the Prophet] has come back and we fight until we reach and take back the lands from al-Andalous[Andalusia, Spain] all the way to Beit al-Maqdes[Jerusalem], by the permission of God.

We fight to help the oppressed Muslims and to implement God’s law on earth. We help God through this…Shahada[Bear Witness], so that we may be among those closest to him.
00:49 Kill them where ever you find them, the bring disbelievers bread and water halal? This is Jihad. Now you have the Ne’mah[Blessing] to be a Mujahid where ever you are, pick up a kitchen knife where ever you can and kill them where ever you find them, with Permission of God,…Abu Hurairah narrates from the Prophet (PBUH) ‘Whoever kills a Kafir[Infidel] is guaranteed Paradise. What are we waiting for? Are you waiting to live [unintelligible] Quran , is this what you selected over Paradise? [Uniintelgible] Kill a Kafir[Infidel] kill them where ever you find them

02:28 Brothers and Sisters in the UK, recently we had heavy bombardment, from the coalition planes from countries like the UK. My message to you is, how can you sit there in the UK amongst the Kuffar[Infidels] those who are bombing your brothers and sisters in the Khilafa[Caliphate]? How can you sit still and how do you watch and pay taxes to people who are attacking and bombing us daily? Many children have been killed hundreds of women have been widowed, innocent civilians… So my message to you is to prepare Hijra[Migration] in the way of God. And my message to the Ekhwa[Brothers] is to light them up like the Ekhwa did in France.

Praise be to God and Him alone, and prayers and praise to whom there is no Messenger after. Brother, we came to the Islamic State to rally around the religion and to empower the word of God. We have abandoned our parents and left our homes to pledge allegiance to our Prince al-Baghdady. And we have come with these weapons as to, with the Permission of God, fight the Kuffar[Infidels] and Murtaddin[Apostates] and we will not have mercy nor will we be sad. And my message to my people in Tunisia, leave siblings, leave the home of humiliation and come to the home of Islam, the home of splendor. For here is the splendor and here is the Flag of Islam. Praise be to God and Him alone, and prayers and praise to whom there is no Messenger after

ISIS members in the city of Raqqa, northeastern Syria said they were proud of the perpetrators of the attack against staff members of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
Interviewed residents of the city also expressed similar opinions.

Raqqa has been under ISIS control for more than a year and is seen as the militant group’s capital.

1 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Abu Zeid, resident of Raqqa

(00:00) In the name of God, With God’s help we were able to achieve victory by avenging the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon Him. We brought pride and respect back Islam. We have stricken the infidels’ hearts with fear in the operation that our brothers the Mujahideen carried out against Charlie Hebdo.
We are people whom God has honored with Islam. We say to those who mocked our religion and our Prophet, as our Sheikh of Mujahideen Osama Bin Laden, may he rest in peace, said: “If your freedom of speech is unrestrained, then bear our freedom to react. God is greatest! (00:37).

(00:38) “In the name of God, Concerning these events, God almighty says: [Quranic verse] “Fight them. Allah shall torment them torture at your hands and cover them with shame and help you (to victory) over them and heal the breasts of Believers.”
These events have healed the breasts of the believers across the world, from the east to the west. These events were in the defense of our Prophet Mohammad. We bless these events.
In these events, specifically, people around the world were divided into two groups: half of them supported the Prophet, whom we were ordered to support, and the other half denounced these actions. We have not heard any condemnations of what is happening to the poor Syrian people, who are being killed with cold blood. We have not heard anyone condemn Bashar [Assad]’s warplanes that are bombing during the day, while the international coalition’s aircraft bomb during the night.
We have not heard any condemnations from anyone, not even Islamic movements.
When two knights from the Nation of Islam decided to avenge the Prophet, the Holy Prophet of the Nation of Islam, the prophet of mercy, we heard condemnations.
As for the events, I am in favor of them as a soldier of the Islamic State. I witness that these brothers healed the breasts of believers. May God reward them well and I ask God to accept them as martyrs (01:59).

3 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Mohammad al-Mahmoud, grocer from Raqqa
(02:00) These are the enemies of God and religions. They say this is freedom, but this is not freedom. This is our Prophet. He is the beacon of the entire humankind. I will sacrifice my blood, mother and father for your sake, O Messenger of God. We will all… Demonstrations will not work. Only weapons will be useful in dealing with the malicious Western newspapers (02:23).

4 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Abu Ayman al-Yamani, Muhajer (foreign fighter) from Yemen

(02:24) Remaining silent about insulting the Prophet is humiliation and shame. As Omar al-Farouq [the second caliph after the Prophet] said “We are a Nation that God has honored with Islam. If we take another religion, God will humiliate us.” Islam can only be honored. I ask God to be merciful with these lions who carried out the Charlie Hebdo operation. Islam’s next retaliation shall be much stronger. (02:56)

5 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Abu Youssef, Resident of Raqqa

(02:57) This is an assault on all Muslims. This is a blatant assault (03:02).

6 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Abu Hattoun al-Jazrawi, Muhajer (Foreign fighter) from Saudi Arabia

(03:03) Thanks be to God! These events gave Muslims a mark; infidels now fear the Muslims. Now Muslims have a strong foot that steps on these infidels. They have put almost 100,000 of their soldiers on alert. Thanks be to God! (03:22).

7 SOUNDBITE (Arabic, Man) Abu Mazen, Resident of Raqqa

(03:23) We consider the Kouachi brothers martyrs for the operation they did. We condemn the statements issued by al-Azhar and the Gulf Council of Scholars that denounced the operation. This shall be the fate of everyone who insults the Prophet. We will cut his head off if God wills, not his hands (03:46).

8 SOUNDBITE (Russian, Man) Abu Bilal, Muhajer (foreign fighter)

(03:47)
