The day after snowstorm Juno seen from Brooklyn neighborhood Crown Heights and from Prospect Park. Juno, which was announced as potentially "the biggest snowstorm in the history of this city" by Mayor De Blasio only two days before, ended up moving further east and departing faster than predicted. Snow predictions were far too high, but enough for New Yorkers to enjoy a fun family afternoon at the park, as most offices shut down, while other worked to clear roads and sidewalks.

Brooklynites began preparing themselves to face Winter Storm Juno on the eve of what "could be the the biggest snowstorm in the history of this city," according to Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The storm effectively shut down the metropolitan areas of Boston and New York City, as residents and emergency services prepared for even lower temperatures over the next two days.
