I am a multi award-winning documentary film maker, freelance Producer/Director & Video Journalist who works predominantly on films about social change and social justice. I have a special interest in the developing world and in MENA, and I like to focus on issues such as poverty, women's rights, FGM, democracy, and arms control. I self-shoot on a wide-variety of HDV cameras, but specialise filming on the Canon 5D and my kit includes shotgun & radio mics, tripod and I self-edit on FCP. I can write copy & file stills also. Some of my projects currently include making a documentary in Libya called "Libya: After the Fall," and several film projects in Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and India. I have credits for Channel 4 News, BBC Newsnight, The Guardian, BBC Persia, BBC World and a variety of international Broadcasters including DR2 Denmark, TVNZ, MTV Europe and Asia etc. I have filmed/directed in the following countries: New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Thailand, Russia, the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, (most of Europe), Iceland, Greece, Mexico, Jordan, Egypt, Dubai/UAE, Libya.
