Former Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili and prominent leader of the "Bring Back our Girls" campaign attends a protest to mark the second year anniversary of the kidnapping of over two hundred girls from Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram. Boko Haram is regarded as the most notorious terrorist group in Nigeria by local officials. The protest was aimed at putting more pressure on the Nigerian government to put more effort in securing their release.
Mary Manaseh, the mother of one of the girls kidnapped by Boko Haram pleads for the safe return of her daughter, days before the Nigerian government told the press that a ceasefire agreement had been made with the militant group, including the release of over two hundred schoolgirls kidnapped in the village of Chibok on May 14. Boko Haram remains silent on the deal, but many of the parents remain hopeful despite the fear of losing their loved ones.
