While Ploss was chosen to go to the Republican Convention as a delegate, Carey, who decided to run at the last minute replacing on the the candidates on the Trump slate, withdrew. If she had won, Carey was supposed to vote for John Kasich, based on the public votes in the Massachussetts primary. "I can't do this. I can't vote for someone else on the first ballot," she said.

Cambridge, MA- April 12, 2016- Jonathan Hurowitz, a volunteer in the Marco Rubio presidential campaign, talks to one of the members of MIT's Conservative Club after a meeting. Hurowitz supported Rubio over Rand Paul, his first choice, since he had a better shot at winning as a moderate Republican, he said. "Now that Rubio is out, I don't think I will be involved in any other campaign. I don't even know who I will vote for."

The Syrian Civil Defense Corps, known as The White Helmets, constantly seeks new volunteers to attend training classes on rescue and first aid, in part due to the constant loss of aid workers in dangerous rescue operations in Eastern Ghouta, on the outskirts of Damascus.

Refugees, who succeed to cross the maritime border between Turkey and Greece are being brought to the Moria Camp near the city of Mitylene, on the island of Lesbos, where the European border agency Frontex identify and screen them, before they may go to the Greek mainland.
Moria Camp reminds us of a war zone. People are queuing, often for many days. They lie in the mud and sleep in tents because there is not enough space in the shelters. Human rights activists call the camp “Europe's shame”.
