Drone footage showing reconstruction efforts in the Kurdish city of Kobane, on the Syrian border with Turkey. Workers and machinery remove debris in the areas that were destroyed during intense fighting between Kurdish forces and Islamic State militants. In the outskirts of the city, refugee camps were set up for people who fled Raqqa, the capital of the so called Islamic State.
The reconstruction of Arg-e Bam started on the higher part and the walls. From some angles the majestic past of the citadel can still be seen and felt.
The ancient citadel, Arg-e Bam,of Bam is the largest adobe structure on earth. Almost all of the structure collapsed when the earthquake struck Bam 10 years ago.
130 people are daily working on rebuilding Arg-e Bam, the ancient citadel. After 10 years only a small part is actually finished. It will take decades just to partly finish it.
