By Hasan Yetmez

Refugees and local journalists report that Syrian forces, positioned in the hills and the minaret of a mosque, fired across the border into the Oncupinar refugee camp near the Syrian border. Bullets hit containers used as shelters by Syrian refugees, but no one was wounded. The incident happened after Kofi Annan's visit to Yayladagi refugee camp in Turkey's southern province of Hatay, on April 10, 2012.

Approximately 100 Syrians, mostly women and children, crossed the Turkish border on April 10th. Turkey currently hosts some 24,000 Syrian refugees.
