For women in Jordan’s Zaatari refugee camp, cooking in a kitchen has been a way to restore a small sense of normalcy to their lives. Though they must sometimes wait in line to cook their food, preparing food together gives the women a chance to talk, take a break from their mundane life inside and outside the tent, or even smoke a cigarette in privacy.
