Fences secure the storage rooms that include the humanitarian aids that are distributed in Al Zaatari Refugee Camp. As soon as people were informed that new supplies were arriving to the camp, children slept all the night behind the fence awaiting for their new blankets.

A young Syrian girl lies medicated with the drug Ketamine before going into surgery. While walking in the street with her mother, she was wounded by shrapnel and the mother was killed from a bomb which destroyed a building nearby. The girl was carried into the hospital by an FSA soldier, to later be reunited with her deceased mother in Aleppo, Syria, May, 2013.

A man carries a wounded Syrian girl into a hospital after a bomb attack. While walking in the street with her mother, she was wounded by shrapnel and the mother was killed from a bomb which destroyed a building nearby. The girl was carried into the hospital by an FSA soldier, to later be reunited with her deceased mother's body in Aleppo, Syria. May 2013.

Kareen’s family has been waiting six months to get to safety according to her parents. They’re worried that she will soon hit puberty because some Syrian girls have been kidnapped into sex slavery since the conflict began.

These little cuties practiced their English that they learned in school. Haitam, the boy furthest to the right, wants to be a dentist so he says he is not eating candy these days. Together, these children sing the ABCs and yell “We love you!” until we’re out of earshot. Siblings Ali and Mohammed play hide-and-seek alongside fifty other refugee kids in the Syrian refugee camp in Tyre, Lebanon. Since their arrival at the camp almost three years ago, none of the children have attended school. They shall remain in the camp indefinitely.

8-year-old Zakiyya (translates from Arabic to "Intelligent") poses for the camera during a show-and-tell session designed for the fifty children at the Syrian refugee camp to open up about their personal stories and struggles. She lives with her mother, father and three brothers. She is one of the lucky few families to still live alongside her father at the camp.

Her name is Hiyam, she is from Raqqa, now she is a refugee in Sour, her father is scared to talk about politics, he seems to be against Bashar, he fears for his daughter's future now they are refugees in Sour, a Shia region in the South of Lebanon. After more than 2 years of conflict, Syrian refugees flood into Lebanon. There are around 500,000 in the area so far. Hezbollah is helping them with food and medicine, but the security situation is not good.
