Migrants from Africa and the Middle East are held in a detention center in the Greek village of Tychero, on the border of Turkey and the Evros river. Many migrants swim across the Evros River and register with the Greek Police, which legally permits them to stay in Greece for 30 days while they continue to seek passage on to Italy.
