Media is easy to find-- just browse for content you need via keyword search, media type, date or location (you can use location keywords, but we recommend trying our map locator for content as it eliminates spelling inconsistencies and multi-language search issues).

Research new story ideas, capture new angles to historic events, and develop relationships with contributors who are already there, documenting the events you want to capture. And, because we understand the value of being the first or the only one with a new scoop, opportunities to purchase media exclusively are available. Pricing & Licensing

TRANSTERRA automates pricing and licensing for videos and photos to ensure that you can buy media as fast as it is uploaded onto the site. Once our contributors' media has been uploaded, encoded and the basic required data has been entered, media is then available for you to choose the license you want according to USE (documentary, editorial, advertising, etc.), DISTRIBUTION (web/mobile, television, cinema, print, etc.), TERM (3 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc.), and/or SPECIAL USE (independent film, NGO, etc.). Your selections directly affect the price of the media.

Base Price

Contributors choose the base-price of their media according to pricing assistance we provide. We want each contributor to retain as much control over their pricing as possible. We believe it is imperative that contributors are integrated into the news and documentary market throughout the process, starting with the base price. On rare occasions when a contributor's media is incorrectly inflated, and the media should be seen by the world, we do exercise our right to adjust the price, so let us know if you need something and let us help you.

Credit System

TRANSTERRA’s purchasing system is based on credits. In order to purchase to media from the site you must either purchase credits using a credit card on the TRANSTERRA site, or request a line of credit, which will allow you to purchase media on the website, and then be invoiced for your purchases. You can request a line of credit through the website, or contact a TRANSTERRA sales representative. Invoicing

TRANSTERRA is happy to provide pre-approved customers with an invoicing system customized to your accounting needs for direct purchase of video and photos. In most cases, all production service are billed by invoice and independently from the website. Contact a sales representative to set up an invoicing solution.

Approved Media

The site enables media to be published as soon as it has been uploaded and fully encoded to make sure that you have access to the latest media you need. You can see whether or not specific media has been reviewed by TRANSTERRA by looking at the status marker above the content location map. All media on the site goes through a review process by TRANSTERRA staff-- content is accordingly marked "approved" or "not yet reviewed" to indicate whether or not we have vetted it.

Media Alerts

Set your own media alerts according to precise search parameters that you control (media type, keywords and exact location—even down to a specific neighborhood or street). The instant that any media is uploaded matching your saved input, you will be alerted and guided to your new content to preview.
